Daphnique Springs – Single Female

The adaptation of Single Female for Creator TV including a full edit with cutaways and a short trailer in vertical and horizontal formats.

The project

Single Female is a stand-up comedy special by Daphnique Springs, known for her sharp delivery and fearless stage presence. Creator TV asked us to adapt the special for their channel and make it feel aligned with their programming style and audience.

Our task was to edit the full special, shaping it for broadcast with added cutaways that help the pacing and support the jokes visually without getting in the way. The goal was to keep the energy of the performance while making it feel native to the Creator TV format.

Alongside the main edit, we also created a 30-second trailer in both horizontal and vertical versions. It had to feel quick, funny, and true to Daphnique’s tone — something that could work well on social and give people a real sense of her style in just a few seconds.

The process

We started by going through the full special to get a feel for Daphnique’s rhythm and delivery. Her performance had a strong presence on its own, so the goal with the main edit was to support that. We added cutaways where they made sense to help the flow feel smoother for Creator TV’s format while keeping the punch of the original set.

For the trailer, we wanted something short, clear, and true to her tone. We picked a few strong moments that showed her style and built the edit around them. Instead of using heavy effects, we used music to guide the pace and hold attention without pulling focus from the jokes.

We also used text animations to highlight punchlines. This helped direct the viewer’s focus and kept the energy moving — important in short-form content where attention drops fast.

The final result: a full special ready for broadcast, and a trailer that feels sharp, funny, and true to Daphnique’s voice.
