An adaptation of Trey Kennedy’s hilarious stand-up comedy special for Creator TV, including platform-specific edits and an attention-grabbing trailer.
Trey Kennedy – Are You For Real? is a comedy special by one of today’s most popular digital comedians. Creator TV wanted to bring this special to their viewers in a way that aligned with their programming style and platform.
Our role was to adapt the full special for the Creator TV channel, ensuring a seamless viewing experience by adding cutaways that match the channel’s tone and style. We also produced a fast-paced 30-second trailer in both horizontal and vertical formats, featuring highlights from the show that resonate with online audiences and drive engagement across platforms.
The goal was to make the content feel native to Creator TV while keeping the essence of Trey’s performance intact.
The project involved two key parts: adapting the full-length comedy special for Creator TV and producing a 30-second trailer to promote it. Both were designed to stay true to Trey Kennedy’s humor while aligning with the style and pacing of Creator TV’s programming.
For the trailer, we focused on creating something fast, sharp, and engaging — the kind of teaser that instantly grabs attention in a feed or on a streaming platform. We looked at the structure and style of high-performing modern trailers to guide our creative direction, focusing on tight pacing, visual rhythm, and clean, bold typography.
A major part of the creative process was sound. We paid close attention to the use of music and sound effects — not just as background elements, but as tools to reinforce punchlines, enhance comedic timing, and elevate the overall energy of the trailer. The result was a piece that feels dynamic, modern, and reflective of the special’s tone.
After several review rounds with the Creator TV team, we delivered both the adapted special and the promotional trailer — ready for broadcast and marketing.
