GN8 Launch Event

Video coverage of GAC Motor’s launch event for their new car model, the GN8.

About the client

Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (“GAC”) was incorporated in June 1997. In 2023, GAC’ s production and sales both exceeded 2.5 million, with a positive year-on-year growth. Based on export planning, GAC Group successfully pushed ahead its international business, and GAC INTERNATIONAL was born with the right time.

As of today, GAC INTERNATIONAL has successfully infiltrated the markets of Middle East, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa and America, total of 39 countries and regions worldwide. In order to further optimize the development path, the international strategic plan has been clarified.


The project

GAC Motor entered the Mexican market at the end of 2023. In May, they held an event to launch GN8, their new car model. We were hired to provide full video coverage of this event, which took place at Expo Santa Fe and consisted of two parts.

The first part involved discussing GAC Motor’s expansion into Mexico and introducing the new car model. The second part took place in the other half of the expo, behind the main stage. Here, all the cars available for sale in Mexico were displayed, and attendees could sit in each one. The event continued with a DJ, food, and drinks.

The day before the event, we scouted the venue, going through the agenda and checking out the spaces and setup. The highlight of the event was the introduction of the new car, which took place during the first part.

After reviewing the event setup and agenda, we planned the main moments we needed to capture. As a team of two, we divided the positions for specific moments of the event to ensure we covered every angle. During the event, we stayed in constant contact with the client to ensure we didn’t miss anything.
